Friends of the Worcester Public Library to Host Fall Book Sale

Hundreds of books and media for $2 and under

Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Worcester, MA – Every fall, the Friends of the Worcester Public Library host a book sale for adults, children, families, students, and book lovers. Hundreds of new and used books and media are available at steep discounts.

This year, the Friends of the Worcester Public Library will host its semi-annual book sale for on Friday and Saturday, November 3 & 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Saxe Room at the Main Library.

The sale will feature all types of books, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, children’s books, hard cover, trade books, paperbacks, and CDs. Prices range from $0.50 to $2.00 with book sets for $5.00. Children’s hard cover books will be $1.00 per book or 10 books for $5.00. The Food for Thought Bookstore and Caféwill also be open during the sale. All proceeds support programs at the Worcester Public Library.

The Friends of the Worcester Public Library, Inc. is a non-profit organization of volunteers helping to enhance the library's services to the people of the Worcester area. Founded in 1956 to rally public support for a new main library building, the Friends have become known for the huge semi-annual book sale, gifts to the library, lectures, programs, contests and special projects. Through advocacy, volunteer services, and fundraising the Friends strive to enrich the Worcester Public Library in many ways.
