Join us for an Around the World Adventures this month as we explore Africa on Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m.

Be sure to stop by for Hampstead Stage Company’s presentation of Beauty and the Beast* on Tuesday, April 17 at 12:30 p.m. Beauty and the Beast is the French fairy tale of a selfless young woman, Beauty, who takes her father’s place as prisoner in a castle far away. Upon arrival, she meets the owner of the castle who appears to be a terrifying Beast. As time progresses, Beauty and the Beast begin to get to know not only each other, but also themselves. In this heartwarming, yet humorous tale, discover the power of being yourself and what it means to listen to your heart.

Tween won’t want to miss The Power of You! on Thursday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. You know what you love and you know what you want to do here. But WE don’t have a clue! Come tell us how we can make the library a great place for you! Goodies will include: DIY edible slime and more! Recommended for ages 8 - 12.

There will be a Farm Visit: Petting Zoo* at the library on Friday, April 20 from 2 - 3 p.m. We’re celebrating spring with a visit from the farm! Come meet and greet the baby animals. Blankets are available for cuddling, and hand sanitizer is provided for post-petting clean up.

Join us for Mindful Moments* Tuesdays, April 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 at 4 p.m. Ivy Child International invites children ages 7 to 10 years old to participate in a six week mindfulness program. Sessions will include mindful art, mindful movement and mindful games.

A performance of the Lionheart Puppet Show: The Reluctant Dragon* will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 2 p.m. What happens when Harold, a young village boy, discovers a dragon in the mountains? Can Harold convince the villagers that the dragon just wants to be friends? Based on the story by Kenneth Grahame, The Reluctant Dragon is a great way to introduce children to literary adaptations, as well as loyalty and the arts.

There’s a lot more going on all month long!
